Bollywood entertainer Sohail Khan and his better half of 24 years, Seema, sought legal separation on Friday, announced The Indian Express. The couple, who secured the bunch in 1998 had been living independently for some time now. A source from the family court told ETimes that "Sohail Khan and Seema Sachdev were available in the court today. They have petitioned for a separation. Both were amicable towards one another."
Their detachment was affirmed when Seema showed up on Netflix's unscripted TV drama, Breathtaking Existences of Bollywood Spouses. Remarking about her relationship on the previously mentioned show, Seema had recently said, "It's simply that occasionally when you become older, your relationship wanders and heads into various paths. I make no conciliatory sentiments about it since we are blissful and my children are cheerful. Sohail and I are not in a regular marriage but rather we are a family. We are a unit. For our purposes, he and I and our youngsters matter toward the day's end."
In episode four of the Netflix show, the previous couple's child, Nirvan returns from his college in the US. Upon his return, he visits Seema's recently revamped house and notices that he will visit when he can. Seema blows up and stressed that he won't visit or come to remain with her, however all things being equal, decide to remain with his dad.
Nirvan answered, "You are talking as though I live across the sea. I live across the road", and Seema then, at that point, told the camera "I don't see enough of him. He remains with his father, and he comes here and dozes. It's a most irritating aspect regarding Nirvan".
